Our Coffee
Coffee is pleasure. Tanzania is also famous for good coffee. We would like to introduce you to our local coffee and tell you how important good processing is to us so that you can benefit from this taste experience.
Coffee types
First of all, two types of coffee are grown in Tanzania, namely ROBUSTA COFFEE and ARABICA COFFEE.
ARABICA COFFEE is mostly grown on the slopes of Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru in the shade of banana trees. Ambureni Coffee Lodge has an ARABICA COFFEE PLANTATION located on the slopes of Mount Meru.
Coffee Harvest
We harvest our coffee in June and July. Then the ripe coffee cherries are picked from the tree by hand.
The cherries are then placed in a water bath and peeled to reveal the bean. The sun dries the coffee beans and they are finally ready for the refinement, the roasting.
The entire process is done by hand to achieve the best possible quality of our coffee. Feel free to ask us about our coffee.
